I found all the volunteers to be extraordinarily dedicated to the community and it was a pleasure serving our Association with you and also fielding the productive dialogues at our meetings. As of October, 2011, I will be stepping down from the President's role and assuming a "Member at Large" position for my final year as a Director on the Board. I wish to thank each and every one of you for your past and continued support of the Board of Directors.
It will be important that we have high participation for the annual meeting on October 11th at 6:30 pm. We will start the registration process promptly at 6:00 at the Hope United Methodist Church. There will be several important items on the agenda including a presentation by SEMSWA (Southeast Metro Storm Water Authority). The Board will be asking the homeowners by vote to grant the Board permission to enter into another construction and permanent easement agreement for continued work on the west greenbelt drainage. Specifically, SEMSWA will be addressing the south perimeter area in which there has been a problematic drainage issue. The Board has met recently with SEMSWA and we are working closely with them solution for the area while keeping the perimeter fence in the enhanced drainage plan. As evidenced by the recent completion of the new drainage culvert on the north end of the west greenbelt, working closely with SEMSWA on the project produced a very favorable result. The absorption of costs of such major drainage improvements that SEMSWA has taken on in our community have been a value added and practical addition to our ownership.
At our Annual meeting we will also be voting for the appointment of two new directors for the Association. Per our By-Laws, a nominating committing has been established by the Board with Armann Heshmati as Board chair. We are confident that the nominating committee will present two ideal candidates to continue the important work of the Board of Directors on behalf of Cherry Creek Farm.
Lastly, we have been in the process of collecting bids for a landscape design for our community which will include but are not limited to new monument signage, updates to our irrigation systems and the addition of some xeriscaping areas. Your feedback on timing and priority items you feel will enhance the value of Cherry Creek Farm would be most appreciated. As we go forward with major projects such as this, Cherry Creek Farm is your community and we would like to be able to work in tandem with you and your good ideas as we go forth with improvements and updates so that we can continue to make Cherry Creek Farm a wise investment for homeowners and a wonderful place to live!!
Again, thank you for being great neighbors, friends and fellow homeowners and I will see you on October 11th!!!!
