Theft of Greenbelt Watering Device
Posted on Jun 17th, 2011
Representatives from Hammersmith inform us that this has been a problem at many of their properties. It has been occurring in Aurora, Parker, Littleton, etc. with a community in Parker losing 6 at one time. There are upwards of $1,500 each to be replaced.
Apparently the thieves have even been driving around in an “official” truck, with a light on the cab, wearing a helmet and orange vest and interacting with unsuspecting owners. They simply say they are with the city and are taking this back to their headquarters for adjustments.
If you see any suspicious activity, please report this to the police immediately. As per recommendations from Keeson, we will be painting the replacement devise black to lower it’s potential resell value if stolen and will look into the cost of having it bolted down.
