SEMSWA Update
Posted on Nov 5th, 2013
The board has been working with the Southeast Metro Stormwater Authority (SEMSWA) on the plans for an updated stormwater conveyance culvert at the south end of our west greenbelt. Construction will lstart in November of this year. The SEMSWA engineers have worked with the community to maintain the south perimeter fencing and minimize access to our property via the culvert opening. The project includes a new section of fencing that will replace the breakaway section as the breakaway will no longer be required. The fencing will sit on top of the new culvert that will be 12 feet in length and approximately 36" high and will have a cement bottom with rip rap over the cement. On the north side of the fence will be a concret spill way that will funnel down to the existin drainage. To the south of the fence, it will have a rock drop channel that will look very nice.
The project is expected to take up to 6 months to complete and access will primarily be from the south with minimal access from our neighborhood. As we did with the north culvert project last summer, we'll post updates on the project on the home page of our website. A page from the engineering document has been posted to our home page with the area highlighted in yellow representing the work to be performed on the west greenbelt.
